Vote for Benjamin Campos in California’s 38th Congressional District

For Immediate Release: November 1st, 2011

Lakewood, CA—Today, Benjamin Campos announced that he intends to seek election in California’s newly designated 38th Congressional District. The new 38th Congressional District drawn by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission is compromised of nearly half of California’s current 39th Congressional District, which Benjamin seeks to represent.

Benjamin wants to achieve a sounder, stronger, better America for all not just for the privileged few.  His objectives are:

1.      Fiscal Responsibility – No more debt spending, balance the budget and restore accountability.

2.      Limited Government – Role of government is to protect citizens from enemies foreign and domestic not to confiscate property and redistribute it.

3.      Promote Free Market System – Ideas, ingenuity, creativity should be encouraged.  Entrepreneurship, hard work, responsibility and discipline should be rewarded.  Boost voluntary exchange of goods and services which will benefit both buyer and seller.  Applaud competition that produces the highest quality goods to be sold at affordable prices to the consumer.

4.      Transparency – Bills considered for a vote should be made available on the internet for review by the public for at least 15 days prior to being considered into law.  Detailed broken down budgets are to be made available on the internet for review by the public at least 15 days prior being finalized.

5.      Adhere to the U.S. Constitution – The separation of powers of the executive, legislative and judiciary braches should be observed.  No more czars.  Reject cap and trade.  Uphold the second amendment.

6.      Lower Taxes – Stop the pouring of money in the endless bureaucratic black hole that knows no end.  End earmarks and bridges to nowhere.  End the nanny state.

7.      Energy Independence – Open up areas for drilling which have been held up because of environmentally flawed studies.

The newly designed 38th District includes the communities of Artesia, Avocado Heights, Bellflower, Cerritos, East Whittier, Hawaiian Gardens, La Mirada, Lakewood, Los Nietos, Montebello, North Whittier, Norwalk, Pico Rivera, Pioneer, Rio Hondo, Rosemead, Santa Fe Springs, South El Monte, South San Gabriel, South Whittier, Whittier and La Palma where Benjamin currently resides in Lakewood.
